The August and September 2024 council meetings will be held at the RG Cribbet Recreation Center on Hawthorne Ave. due to remodeling at the municipal building.
The Village of Fairfax council will hold two public hearings on April 1, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. and April 15, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Village of Fairfax Municipal Building, 5903 Hawthorne Ave, Fairfax, OH 45227 for the purpose of hearing public comments on the community development needs of the Village of Fairfax, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 program years. The CDBG program is administered by the Community Development Department of Hamilton County, Ohio, and will make funds available to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The first hearing held on April 1, 2024 will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The second hearing will review the projects that Springfield Township intends to submit to Hamilton County for funding. The hearings are being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

The April 17, 2024 meeting of the Little Miami Joint Fire District Board is cancelled due to a lack of quorum.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Fairfax Municipal Building.
The Planning Commission will meet to review and discuss a modification to the proposed townhomes at 6219 Wooster Pike.
The Fairfax Zoning Committee will meet on May 1, 2024 at 6PM to continue discussions on updates and modifications to the Fairfax Zoning Code

At the Monday May 13, 2024 Executive Committee of Council (ECC) meeting starting at 7:00 PM, council will hold a session at the beginning of the meeting where residents are invited to learn about and provide feedback about a proposed cannabis dispensary to be located at the corner of Red Bank Road and Fair Lane.
In November 2023, Ohio residents approved the recreational sale and use of cannabis products in the State of Ohio. As a result of that vote, Fairfax council has been approached about locating a facility on the western boundary of the Village along Red Bank Road.
Residents can learn about the proposed business, ask questions and provide their opinions to council. Representatives from the business will be on hand at the meeting.
